Parents of Autistic Children:
You Shouldn’t Have to Navigate This Alone
We’re building a new community designed specifically for parents like you.
A place where families connect based on your child’s strengths, personality, and interests — and where you are in your journey.
No noise. No judgement. Just real connection and support.
Free to join. No spam, ever.

Connect with parents sharing a similar journey. Meet online or in person.
Access guides, research and resources to help you along your child’s path.
Share what works for your child and help another parent along the way.
Built around what ASD parents actually need
A community shaped by parents, for parents
Every feature was shaped by talking to real families — not by what makes a good app store screenshot.
Matched by who your child actually is
Diagnosis type, behavioral profile, age range, and where you are in your journey — not just 'also has autism.'
Private by design. Safe by default.
No public posts. No strangers. No judgement. Everything stays inside your matched community.
Your neighborhood, your people
Find other families within driving distance for supervised playdates, local meetups, and in-person support.
Support on your schedule
Life with an ASD child doesn't follow a calendar. Connect at 11pm after bedtime, or in a five-minute window on Tuesday.
Navigate services together
IEP prep, insurance denials, ABA waitlists — members share what worked, what failed, and which local providers they actually trust.
Family-first, not just parent-first
Coordinate parent connections and child playdates simultaneously, so kids play safely while you finally have a real conversation.
“It’s not just me and my husband going at this alone. The parents I’ve met — they’ve been a little further down the road than us. That’s the part I needed and didn’t know how to find.”
— ASD parent, qualitative research study (PMC6411305)
You help shape it
How you’re matched. What you share. Who sees it. We’re talking to parents to get that right.

No — and that's intentional. Facebook groups are public, searchable, and full of strangers. Spectrum Connect is a private, invitation-only community with purpose-built matching. You only interact with parents whose children share meaningful overlap with yours. Your profile is never indexed or shown to advertisers.
When you join, you'll complete a short profile about your child: diagnosis type, age, behavioral profile, and your location. Our matching surfaces parents who share meaningful overlap — not just 'also has autism.' You can browse matches, start a conversation, or join small group threads at whatever pace feels right.
Yes — that's exactly the gap we built Spectrum Connect to close. Our matching accounts for co-occurring conditions, communication styles, and where your child is in their journey. The parents who feel most isolated are often those whose children don't fit a simple profile — and they're the families we most want to serve.
Wunder (by Understood.org) was the most widely used platform for neurodivergent parents in the US. It shut down in August 2024, leaving thousands of families with nowhere to go. Spectrum Connect is purpose-built to fill that gap — with stronger peer matching, geographic features Wunder never had, and a sustainable model built specifically for this community.
Joining the waitlist and the core community features will be free. An optional premium tier will offer curated professional resources and priority matching. We will never sell your data, show you advertisements, or share your family's information. Our model is subscriptions — the community's trust is the thing we protect.
